I highly recommend the scale to anyone that needs to weigh food. Its very easy to use, very small and portable, and best of all VERY accurate. It automatically tares the weight when you start the scale, so you can just put a plate on it then turn it on and its all ready to go.

I needed a cheap way to measure weights for some recipes I had. I was lured to this device based on the great reviews, and I was not disappointed. It is easy to use, slim for easy storage, and lightweight for carrying around.

The only downside I found was the quality of the material. The construction does not look so durable.

« Great Scale! »

I purchased this scale after a rather lengthy research period. I'm not one to buy things on impulse and the thought or ordering online just to get a simple scale seemed odd. However, when I started comparing the scales available at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond I found that they were priced $10 or so higher and had extra features I didn't need or had recieved bad reviews online.

This scale was worth every penny. It is accurate and the display is very easy to read. That fact that it runs on regular aaa batteries is a huge plus although I've only had the scale about 6 months so I haven't had to change the battery yet. The tare feature works well, and you isn't limited to one time per use; so it's easy to just stick a bowl on top of the scale and add your desired amount of material, hit tare and add another amount without doing any of the math in your head.

The scale itself is nicely designed and not intrusive sitting on my countertop. It's extrememly light and easy to move around from place to place.

The only complaint I have is that the buttons, while being large and easy to push seem to have very small connections underneath. Sometimes when I press a button if I'm not close enough to the center of the button, it doesn't register my press. This is really a minor complaint and not enough to reduce my rating from 5 stars. In fact that is really the only area of the scale I see that has any room for improvement.

I reccomend this to anyone looking for a simple easy to use kitchen scale.

« Best scale yet! »

I bought this scale a few weeks ago and have gotten plenty of use out it so far. I love it! This is my third digital kitchen scale in 6 years and I consider this one to be the best. The first two aided me in losing (and maintaining) 85 lbs. Weighing your food is the most accurate way to count calories and control portion sizes. Unfortunately, I gained about 35 lbs back. Now I'm ready for it to come back off and that's where this scale comes in. It is extremely lightweight but that does not affect the accuracy... as someone who has weighed and portioned her food for several years, I know when a scale is more than a gram or two off. This scale seems to be dead-on based on the visual serving sizes. The display is huge and it's easy to navigate through the different weight units. As some others have said, the small size of the scale makes it a little difficult to read the numbers if you place a large plate or bowl on it, but to me, this is not a deal-breaker. A HUGE selling point for me is the use of regular batteries. Both of my old scales used the expensive CR2032 batteries so it's a very nice change to be able to use AAA batteries. Overall, this scale is a great buy and I'd recommend it to anyone!
